The MIL-W-3818B specification was issued in the 1960s and was intended to ensure that military wristwatches met certain criteria for durability, accuracy, and functionality.
It was widely used by military personnel and it significantly contributed to the development of iconic military watches.
With a legacy of 169 years, Siduna will be manufacturing in Europe a modern-day, 39.0mm rendition of the MIL-W3818B for Techné, using the Swiss Soprod calibre P024.
Used by prestigious Swiss brands such as Nivada Grenchen, the P024 a Swiss Made 25 jewels automatic movement based on the ETA 2824-2, a tried and tested movement that was first released in 1971.

Today, Siduna combines its legacy, inspiration from iconic Scandinavian watches and modern day watch making to produce quality, European made timepieces at an approachable price tag.
Siduna is clearly looking to enter the market in style, and… it is positioning itself to do so successfully. Add …a two-year warranty, and the brand is presenting a high-quality timepiece few other startups have been able to manage in their initial releases.
With a mission to stay within accessible prices (below EUR 3,000)… The watches have the curtesy of being assembled in Northern Europe - and not in China - …and the designer cut his teeth in a Swiss manufacture like Longines…
